Assignment 4, finally - question 1

Sorry, I got behind. But, none of you seemed to be "yelling" at me, so I hope your life was a little less hectic than mine this week.

Problem 1:

Build a truth table to prove that A <=> B is true if A and B are both true or both false, and A <=> B is false if exactly one of A, B is true and the other false.


My answer:

A | B | A => B  | B => A | (A => B) and (B => A)

  1. Thanks! I keep mixing up what the truth table looks like for A=>B, thinking it is like A^B.

  2. That's what mine said too! When I read some of the postings in the discussion forum, they seem way more complex, but I think this covers it!

  3. Yup, we're good to go.

    Busy week for me, too. Computer HD crashed, a rebuild didn't work because some parts were DOA from the vendor, and I'm on this clunky old machine that is about as fast as an abacus combined with a manual typewriter. New, pre-built machine should be here next week. Have to send some parts back to the vendor to exchange so I can finish a new build as well.

    Getting behind this week reminded me of being in college: always a *very* bad idea to get behind in math class.
